PrincipalsConnect is always listening to our Principals.
It was through Principal Sharp that we learned about Faxon Elementary’s staff patio. It was an enclosed space right off the building with a couple bedraggled tables and a forgotten bed of weeds.
A PrincipalsConnect volunteer saw the need, made a plan, and a team of volunteers gathered in September to turn that plan into reality!
The PrincipalsConnect team worked diligently updating the patio. They:
- Cleaned and newly painted tables and seating
- Purchased new, matching umbrellas
- Dug up weeds
- Added new plants and mulch
- Edged the garden beds with brick
Check out the final patio! PrincipalsConnect is proud of the work we accomplished at Faxon Elementary to provide a calming place for teachers and staff to retreat to before, during and after the school day. Thank you to our volunteers who made it happen!
